Notice to Property Owner/Taxpayer of Seekonk
From the Board of Assessors
Many of you are aware that we are in the process of revaluing the town as required by Massachusetts General Law Chapter 40 Section 56. Your Board of Assessors is required to keep the values of property within strict limits of value according to sales in a statistical report sent to the state Department of Revenue, Division of Local Assessment. Many of you have or are about to have a visit from the Town Assessor, Assistant Assessor or a Representative of the Assessors Office, asking questions and verify the interior and exterior information of your property. Exterior measurements of all buildings on lot will be checked, so that we are fair to all taxpayers in the town – this “being fair and equitable” is the main goal of your Board of Assessors. We thank you for your cooperation.
